With years of experience working between China and Europe, we combine strategic insight with a deep understanding of cultural nuance — helping clients navigate complex markets.
Evamaria Mayer
Founder & Creative Director
Evamaria Mayer, also known as Eva May 依娃.梅, is a cultural strategist and media creative, based in Vienna and working internationally. Her work bridges China and Europe through storytelling, strategy, and creative direction - helping brands, institutions, and creatives navigate the space between cultures.
With a background in journalism, branding, and media communications, Evamaria spent several years in Asia working as a TV presenter, PR strategist and creative consultant. Her on-screen work with China Global Television Network (CGTN) and China Central Television (CCTV), where she was named "Best TV Presenter for Entertainment Programming" in 2021, shaped her distinctive voice: thoughtful, cross-cultural, witty and warm.
Fluent in English, German, and Mandarin, she brings a global perspective to every project - blending insight with imagination to build meaningful connections between East and West.
Su Ningxia Mayer
Co-Founder & Cultural Advisor
Su Ningxia Mayer is a China–Europe relations advisor, based in Vienna with over 30 years of experience in trade, diplomacy, and cross-cultural collaboration. Her career spans leadership roles in international business and public affairs, supporting partnerships between Austrian and Chinese institutions across sectors including healthcare, infrastructure, and energy.
She previously led the Vienna office of Baota Petrochemical Group and supported major projects with VAMED and the HNA Group. Known for her trusted network and diplomatic sensibility, she has coordinated high-level delegations and advised on initiatives at the intersection of culture and commerce.
Today, she brings her expertise to The Mandarin Muse, shaping East–West collaboration with a steady hand and long-standing perspective.
